Abstract

This study aims to determine how effective the use of village funds is in handling and preventing Covid-19 in Trimorejo Village, Semendawai Suku Tiga District, East OKU Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to describe the object under study. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The theory used in this research is the effectiveness theory of Richard M. Steers which consists of input, process and output dimensions. The results of this study indicate that the use of village funds in the Handling and Prevention of Covid-19 in Trimorejo Village has not been implemented effectively. There are three activities in the Handling and Prevention of Covid-19, namely the Prevention of the Spread of Covid-19, the Village Cash Work Intensive activity, and the distribution of BLT activities. Activities to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19 have been carried out properly and effectively, and the Trimorejo Village Government received appreciation from the sub-district government for its preparedness in preventing Covid-19. The Village Cash-Intensive Activities have not been running effectively because the allocated budget does not meet the applicable provisions and has not involved all the people who are the target group of the activity. Meanwhile, in the distribution of BLT, it has not been distributed evenly and has not been fully targeted. Suggestions from this study are that the Trimorejo Village Government should involve all community institutions in every process of governance, ensure that labor-intensive activities can be carried out more effectively by increasing cooperation and coordination with all related parties, as well as being more selective and proactive in registering the poor so that the distribution of BLT right on target.
