Abstract

This research is titled "The Role of PT XL Axiata Tbk in the Field Social and Economic Of Palembang City in 2009-2020. The problems in this study are how the development of PT XL Axiata Tbk in the city of Palembang and how the role of PT XL Axiata Tbk in the city of Palembang. The purpose of this study is to explain the development of PT XL Axiata in palembang city and its role in the socio-economic city of Palembang in 2009-2020. The methods used in this study are historical methods with measures: heuristics, source criticism, data interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study show that PT XL Axiata Tbk which focuses on telecommunication services and products in Palembang city not only focuses on business operations, but also fulfills obligations through corporate social responsibility to the community. With this program, the company can maximize its role in various fields, especially socio-economic needed by the community. This role is in the form of corporate CSR programs and situational activities that adjust the needs of the community in the city of Palembang.
