Abstract

Youth is the backbone of future development. The potential of Indonesian youth spread from Sabang to Merauke needs integrated management. This is what underlies the Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), to design a youth-friendly district/city program as outlined in the Regulation of the Minister of Youth and Sports No. 11 of 2017. Palembang is one of the big cities in Sumatra which is still in the process. development, is expected to be able to participate in becoming one of the cities that are suitable for youth in Indonesia. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the feasibility of Palembang City as a City for Youth. This study uses a qualitative method. The data source used is the primary data source. Primary data were obtained by field surveys using data collection methods directly at the data source, through field surveys and interviews. The results of the study indicate that communication determines the success of achieving the goals of implementing public policies, resources are an important factor because of lack of resources so implementation will not run effectively.
