Abstract

This study aimed to know the affecting factors and the impact of young marriage at Tanjung Kurung Village, Abab District Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency. This study used qualitative descriptive research method with observation, in-depth interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. In this study, the role of researcher was participant observer. This study used social action by Max Weber. The results of this study showed that affecting factors of young marriage at Tanjung Kurung Village, Abab District Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency were the tradition named Pegat or Belarian, economy factor, and peer factor. The impact of young marriage at Tanjung Kurung Village, Abab District Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency were drop out from the school because of the decision of marry, unstable family economy, and frequent arguments. Key Words: Social Impact, Marriage, Young Age.
