Abstract

Background: Worms are an infectious disease that is common in the tropics. The high incidence of helminthiasis is caused by many people living in plantations. Researchers get a minimum sample of 94 children. Data analysis used univariate analysis, bivariate using chisquare test, and multivariate using multiple logistic regression test. Results: The analysis showed that handwashing habits (p-value 0.000), nail hygiene (p-value 0.007), and snacking habits (pvalue 0.000) had a significant relationship with the incidence of worms in elementary school children. The variable of snacking habits became the most dominant variable associated with the incidence of intestinal worms in elementary school children.
