Abstract

Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is an important factor studied. SST can affect the life of organisms in the waters. Changes in SST in the waters can occur in the time span of daily, weekly and yearly. Over time, SST can be measured using remote sensing technology. The purpose of this study is to map the distribution of sea surface temperatures in the waters of Pasar Bawah, South Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province, spatially and temporally from 2019 - 2020. The study was carried out in January 2020 with 10 station points using Aqua Modis level 3 image data. The distribution of SST in the waters has a significant difference in the transitional season II of 50C due to different rainfall and wind speeds in 2019 – 2020.
