Abstract

One of the weeding process is the process of counting the number of weed stands. This research was carried out from March to April 2021 at the Alsintan Workshop of the Agriculture Service of South Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the rotational speed and number of the blade cultivator on the weeding results. The method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two research factors, namely blade rotation speed (A) and the number of rotary plow blades (B) with three levels. Study and each treatment combination was repeated three times. The parameters of this research were actual effective field capacity, weeding efficiency and fuel consumption. The results of this study shown that the treatment of blade rotation speed and weed type had a significant effect on the effective field capacity of the cultivator, weeding efficiency and fuel consumption. For the value of the highest effective field capacity of the tool found in the rotation speed 88 rpm and 20 of rotary plow blades (A2B2) that 1019.005 m2/hour. The highest value of weeding efficiency was obtained at the treatment speed of 88 rpm and 16 of rotary plow blades (A2B3) was 62.887%. For the highest value of fuel consumption on the treatment of rotational speed of 88 rpm and 24 of rotary plow blades (A2B1) that 42.5 (1/Ha).
