Abstract

Pengujian pengaruh suhu stack dan tekanan balik terhadap kinerja Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Stack Tunggal menggunakan katalis Pd-Co/C dan Pd-Ni/C telah dilakukan. Masing-masing MEA yang menggunakan katalisPd-Co/C dan Pd-Ni/C dilakukan karakterisasi Cyclic Voltammetry dan Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy serta uji kinerja MEA berdasarkan kurva I–V dan I–P performance dengan pengaruh suhu stack dan tekanan balik. Hasil pengukuran CV diperoleh nilai ECSA untuk MEA Co sebesar 35,43 cm2/g dan MEA Ni sebesar 10,37 cm2/g. Hasil pengukuran EIS diperoleh nilai konduktivitas untuk MEA Co 0,769 x 10-3 S/cm dan MEA Ni 0,25 x 10-3 S/cm. Uji kinerja MEA dengan pengaruh suhu stack didapatkan suhu operasional terbaik untuk MEA Co pada suhu 40oC dengan densitas daya maksimum pada 3,43 mW/cm2 dengan densitas arus 10 mA/cm2 serta MEA Ni pada suhu ruang serta dengan densitas daya maksimum pada 3,04 mW/cm2 dengan arus 11,2 mA/cm2. Uji kinerja MEA dengan pengaruh tekanan balik didapatkan tekanan balik operasional terbaik untuk MEA Co pada 0,15 psi dengan densitas daya maksimum pada 2,13 mW/cm2 dengan densitas arus 6,4 mA/cm2. Berdasarakan variasi suhu stack dan tekanan balik, kinerja PEMFC menggunakan MEA Co lebih baik dibandingkan kinerja MEA Ni
