Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis hidroksida lapis ganda Mg-Al dan komposit Mg-Al/asam humat. Material hasil preparasi dikarakterisasi menggunakan analisis XRD, FT-IR dan BET. Hasil analisis XRD komposit Mg-Al/asam humat menunjukkan adanya puncak difraksi pada sudut sekitar 11° dan 60° yang merupakan karakteristik dari material berlapis dari LDH MgAl, serta difraksi disekitar 20° yang merupakan ciri dari material berbasis karbon dari asam humat. Hasil analisis FTIR menunjukkan adanya vibrasi pada 1381 cm-1 yang berasal dari nitrat. Hasil analisis luas permukaan menggunakan BET menunjukkan peningkatan yang mencapai 3,337 m2/g. Kemampuan adsorpsi ditentukan melalui parameter kinetika, isoterm, termodinamika dan regenerasi. Parameter kinetika dari MgAl/AH cenderung mengikuti model kinetika PSO. Parameter isoterm dari MgAl/AH cenderung mengikuti model Freundlich dengan kapasitas adsorpsi yang mencapai 42,017 mg/g. Proses adsorpsi tersebut berlangsung secara spontan yang ditandai dengan ΔG yang negatif. Proses regenerasi adsorben menunjukkan kemampuan yang bertahan hingga siklus ketiga.
