Abstract

Pola asuh dari orang tua tunggal mempengaruhi kepribadian, tingkah laku, dan kemandirian pada remaja, hal tersebut tentunya tidak lepas dari peran orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pola asuh demokratis melalui indikator fleksibilitas, responsif, dan interaksi baik orang tua tunggal dalam membentuk kemandirian remaja di Desa Tanjung Seteko Kecamatan Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling dengan responden sebanyak 30 orang. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh data bahwa 85,16% orang tua sangat fleksibel dalam membimbing remaja, 87,33% orang tua sangat responsif, dan 83,33% orang tua sudah baik dalam proses interaksi dengan anak. Berdasarkan ketiga indikator tersebut, diperoleh sebesar 85,27% orang tua sudah berupaya menerapkan pola asuh yang demokratis sehingga anak tumbuh menjadi pribadi yang mandiri.
