Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of marriage policies during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Office of Religious Affairs, Sukarami District, Palembang City. This research is motivated by various phenomena, namely the implementation of marriages that must carry out health protocols during the covid-19 pandemic, seeing the role of the Office of Religious Affairs and how to implement policies for organizing marriages during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a regulation from the Mayor of Palembang Number 27 of 2020 concerning the Adaptation of New Habits Towards a Safe Productive Society in the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Situation. This type of research is a qualitative research. The type of data used is primary and secondary data, while the data collection technique is done through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants of this study were selected purposively and consisted of the Head of the Office of Religious Affairs, Sukarami Subdistrict, Palembang City, Penghulu, Extension, Catin and Invited Guests. This study uses the theory of Edward III which consists of 4 dimensions, namely, communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. The results of this study indicate that this policy has been running quite well, but still needs improvement. The factors that have been running but are considered not so optimal are human resources that are still lacking and facilities are still limited. Suggestions that become recommendations for input in this study are to improve facilities and add supporting staff to implement wedding policies
