Abstract

This study aims to see Indonesia's efforts to resolve the issue to the European Union on the issue of boycotting Palm Oil In April 2019, the European Union formally issued a decision on the termination of the use of palm oil products in stages until 2030, which made the decision Rewnable Directive Energy II ( RED II). So that palm oil producing countries will be disadvantaged by the European Union's decision. Including Indonesia, with a total production of 31.1 million tons, which is the largest producer of palm oil products in the world, feels disadvantaged by the black campaign carried out by the European Union with the Rewnable Energy Directive (RED II). Therefore, this study wants to see Indonesia in resolving the issue of boycotting palm oil products by analyzing the theory of Multi-Track Diplomacy. To answer the above statement, this study uses indicators in accordance with the theory of Multi-Track Diplomacy which is guided by: 1.) Government Track 2.) Bussnies Track 3.) Academicy Track 4.) Private Citizen Track 5.) Public Media Track. As an indicator in dealing with issues in the RED II Palm Oil Boycott policy. From the results of this study, the author finds out the steps in Indonesia's efforts to fight the boycott of palm oil by the European Union, through Multi-track diplomacy. Such as from the Government that conducts Government-Government diplomacy. Businessmen invaded local markets for sustainable palm oil production, academics conducted scientific studies on oil palm, and oil palm farmers sent letters of disappointment with the RED II policy and the public media facilitated the spread of news about oil palm.
