Abstract

Abstract This study aims to: (1) Calculate the time spent working on coffee farmers in conducting coffee farming and other farming and the amount of potential free time, (2) Calculating how much household income a coffee farmer has, (3) Analyzing the effect of free time on home income the coffee farmer ladder in Semanding Village, Pengandonan District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The research was carried out in Semanding Village, Pengandonan District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The selection of research locations is done intentionally (purposive). The study was conducted in March 2020. The research method used in this study was a survey method while the sampling method in this study was the simple random sampling method. Data is collected based on the results of interviews and also the results of data from the questionnaire, the data is then processed and presented in tabulated form then analyzed mathematically and explained descriptively. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the most time spent in coffee farmers in Semanding village was devoted to non-coffee farming with a total of 121,191 HOK or 74.47% per year, so that the potential for leisure time in adult women was in fact greater than the potential for leisure time in adult men, it is because adult women spend more time taking care of the house. Household income from non-coffee farming is greater than other activities, which is Rp 41,786.25 per hectare per hectare per year or around 69.73 percent. So that the free flow of coffee farmers' time has a significant effect on the income of coffee farmers in the Semanding Village.
