Abstract

The coastal waters of Jukung Krui port are often used by the surrounding community as a placefor tourism and a port for small fishing boast. The zooplankton community structure can be used as one of bioindicator parameters to determine the condition of a waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of zooplankton, analyze the structure of the zooplankton community, analyze the physical and chemical parameters of the waters and analyze the abundance of zooplankton during the day and night. The research was conducted from January to fabruary 2021. Sampling and measurements were carried out at three different station points taken in the morning, afternoon and evening for 3 days. Sampling includes zooplankton waters samples and phisycal chemical parameter samples including DO, temperature, salinity, pH, current speed, and brightness. The composition of zooplankton during the day and night was found as many as 10 taxa, namely Calanus, Cyclops, Globigerina, Harpacticoida, Limacina, Macrocyclops, Macrosetella, Nauplius, Fish eggs and Tomoptiris. The abundance of zooplankton ranges from 14 – 841 Ind/l with a diversity index value of the dominant category being high and dominance index of the dominant category being low. Based on the values of the physical and chemical parameters, it is known that the water conditions are suitable for the growth of zooplankton. The result of the anova analysis carried out showed that the highest abundance of zooplankton was found at night and the lowest was during the day.
