Abstract

Soil hydraulic conductivity is the ability of the soil to drain or pass water in a layer or soil profile in a certain time interval. This study aims to study the value of the diversity of soil hydraulic conductivity and how the influence of soil physical properties on soil hydraulic conductivity on tidal land. This research was carried out in plots 4 and 8 tertiary 8 P8-2S, Telang Jaya Village, Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method with direct field observation then analysis is carried out in the laboratory. The research area is 16 Ha. Measurement of the hydraulic conductivity of saturated soil in the field using the Auger Hole Method. Each observation area is taken 8 sample points so that there are 16 observation sample points and the depth of each auger hole is 60 cm. Measurement of the rate of rise of the ground water level was repeated 3 times. The results of measuring the value of K-hydraulic in the field using the Auger Hole Method. For the highest value is in plot 4, sample point 7 is 16.29 cm/hour-1 with the K-hydraulic class fast criteria, for the low K-hydraulic value is located in plot 4 sample point 2 is 2.45 cm/hour-1 with medium K-hydraulic class criteria. The results of the standard deviation of K values from the two research variables obtained, namely plots 4 and plots 8 have different K standard deviation values where in plot 4 the K value standard deviation is 4.91 cm/hour-1 and in plot 8 the K value standard deviation is 1.8 cm/hour-1. Soil physical properties that have a positive effect on the rate of soil hydraulic conductivity are soil texture and soil pore space, on the other hand, soil density has a negative effect on hydraulic K.
