Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh bagaimana pengaruh transaksi kartu kredit dan transaksi kartu debit/ATM terhadap permintaan uang kartal di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data tahun 2008:1 - 2010:12 yang didapat dari situs resmi Bank Indonesia. Metode estimasi yang digunakan Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa variabel transaksi kartu kredit menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dan berpengaruh positif terhadap permintaan uang kartal, untuk variabel transaksi kartu debit/ATM menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dan berpengaruh negatif terhadap permintaan uang kartal sebesar 60 persen dan sisanya 40 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model.
