Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 vaccination is an effort that is currently being heavily intensified by the government to create immunity in a person so that when exposed to COVID-19 the body's immune system is ready and does not cause serious illness. As agents of change, students should continue to play an active role in helping the government to overcome the pandemic by conveying information related to COVID-19 prevention to the general public, including the COVID-19 vaccination. However, the level of knowledge and perception regarding COVID-19 vaccination in different educational groups is different. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine differences in knowledge and perceptions about COVID-19 vaccination in health and non-health students at Sriwijaya University. Methods: This research uses a cross sectional study approach. The research location was conducted at Sriwijaya University. The sample consists of 335 respondents. The collected data was then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis using the Mann Whitney and Chi Square test. Results: From the results of the study, there were differences in knowledge (p<α, p=0,00). and perception (p<α, p=0,00). about COVID-19 vaccination. Conclusion: There are differences in knowledge and perceptions about COVID-19 vaccination in health and non-health students at Sriwijaya University.
