Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop media through video animation gestures in karate refereeing training. The method used is research and development method. The subjects in this study were thekarate jury referees new comer in South Sumatra with a total of 30 people. The research site is in the Dojo, the center of Wadoaki, South Sumatra. Techniques in collecting research data are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results obtained show that based on the results of material experts who reached a 99% feasibility level and 100% IT experts. The results of the normality test show the value in the small-scale trial of 0.936 and the large-scale trial of 0.899. The findings in this study indicate thatanimation videos gesture refereeingsignificantly increase the referee's learning knowledge because they have not previously used video media. The implications of the research results ofanimation videos gesture using Android using 2d animation are expected to help referees / judges and newcomers in carrying out training and in certain events.
