Abstract

KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS SERANGGA HAMA PENGGEREK PUCUK DAN BATANG TEBU (Saccharum officinarum L.) DI PTPN VII DISTRIK CINTA MANIS OGAN ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN DIVERSITY OF INSECTS OF SUGARBOARD AND STEM BURDER (Saccharum officinarum L.) IN PTPN VII CINTA MANIS DISTRICT OGAN ILIR, SOUTH SUMATERA. Tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.) merupakan komoditi penting karena didalam batangnnya terkandung 20% cairan gula sebagai bahan baku pembuatan gula pasir. Kendala terbesar tanaman tebu di Indonesia termasuk di kawasan Sumatera Selatan tepatnya di sentra perkebunan tebu Cinta Manis yaitu serangan hama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk dapat mengetahui jenis hama penggerek serta indeks keanekaragaman jenis serangga hama penggerek yang ada di area perkebunan tebu di PTPN VII Distrik Cinta Manis Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2021 sampai dengan Maret 2021. Metode pengamatan yang digunakan berupa metode penelitian desktiptif kualitatif dengan cara survey dan pengambilan sampel secara langsung dilapangan. Penentuan stasiun lokasi sampling berdasarkan metode Purposive sampling yang menyesuaikan vegetasi disetiap titik sampling yang berbeda dan umur tebu yang berbeda. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 stasiun dengan masing-masing stasiun penelitian dibuat dengan ukuran 50x10m di tiap lokasi yang berbeda. Dalam 1 stasiun terdapat 3 plot pengamatan yang berukuran 3x4,5m. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara identifikasi dan mengelompokkan data pada sampel meliputi ordo, jenis spesies dan jumlah individu. Analisis data menggunakan rumus indeks keanekaragaman jenis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa ditemukannya jenis serangga hama tebu untuk keseluruhan terdapat 3 ordo, 6 famili dan 7 spesies yang didalamnya terdapat 1 ordo, 2 famili dan 3 spesies yang merupakan data serangga hama penggerek pucuk dan tebu yang ada di PTPNVII Distrik Cinta Manis. Spesies serangga hama tersebut diantaranya adalah Scirpophaga excerptalis, Chilo auricilius, Chilo sacchariphagus yang merupakan serangga hama penggerek utama/mayor serta Rhabdoscelus obscorus, Ceratovacuna lanigera, Aleurolobus barodensis dan Saccharicocus sacchari yang merupakan serangga hama minor. Keanekaragaman jenis serangga hama penggerek di stasiun 1 tergolong rendah (H’=0,13), stasiun 2 tergolong rendah (H’=0,36) dan stasiun 3 tergolong rendah (H’=0,29). Sehingga dapat dilihat bahwa keanekaragaman serangga hama penggerek pucuk dan batang tebu di PTPNVII Distrik Cinta Manis Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan tergolong rendah. ABSTRACT: Sugarcane (Sacharum officinarum L.) is one of the annual grass plants from plantations which is the main raw material in the manufacture of sugar. Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is an important commodity because the stem contains 20% liquid sugar as raw material for making granulated sugar. The biggest obstacle to sugarcane in Indonesia, including in the South Sumatra area, precisely in the center of the Cinta Manis sugarcane plantation, is pest attack. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of borer and the diversity index of the insect borer in the sugarcane plantation area at PTPN VII Cinta Manis Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra. The research was conducted from February 2021 to March 2021. The observation method used was a qualitative descriptive research method by means of surveys and direct sampling in the field. Determination of sampling location stations based on purposive sampling method that adjusts the vegetation at each different sampling point and different sugarcane ages. This study consisted of 3 stations with each research station made with a size of 50x10m in each different location. In 1 station there are 3 observation plots measuring 3x4,5m. Data were collected by identifying and grouping data on samples including order, species and number of individuals. Analysis of the data using the formula for the index of species diversity. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that there are 3 orders of sugarcane pests, 6 families and 7 species in which there are 1 order, 2 families and 3 species which are shoot borer and sugarcane insect data in PTPNVII Cinta Manis District. These insect pest species include Scirpophaga excerptalis, Chilo auricilius, Chilo sacchariphagus which is the main borer insect and Rhabdoscelus obscorus, Ceratovacuna lanigera, Aleurolobus barodensis and Saccharicocus sacchari which are minor insect pests. The diversity of borer insects at station 1 was classified as low (H'=0,13), station 2 was classified as low (H'=0,36) and station 3 was classified as low (H'=0,29). So it can be seen that the diversity of insect pests of shoot and stem borer in PTPNVII Cinta Manis Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra is classified as low.
