Abstract

The scoreboard in table tennis matches is to display the scores or scores that have been achieved by a team. In some matches, there are still manual scoreboards. This study is intended to design a scoreboard tool that can be controlled using a smartphone so that it is more effective and efficient. The implementation in this research is to use 7 Segments as output that will display scores or scores and this 7 Segment series is divided into 3 parts, namely for the main scoreboard, round 1 scoreboard, and Babak scoreboard 2. Then in this study uses 2 microcontrollers, namely Arduino Uno and NodeMCU ESP82666 where both perform serial communication and NodeMCU ESP82666 will be connected by the Internet Of Things (IoT) method to the Blynk application as a score or score input controller. In the Blynk application, there are buttons to enter the scores of teams A and B, up & down buttons to increase or decrease scores, submit score buttons, and a reset button to return the scoreboard to its initial state. All data sent will be displayed on 7 main Segments. The test results show that this scoreboard has been able to display numbers according to the data sent by the Blynk application for both teams.
