Abstract

Founded in 2016 in Paris, the Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) serves as a collaborative multi-industry regime that encourages to ended child labour problems in India’s mica mines that began to be revealed to the public since the organization of Terre de Hommes Netherland published his proposal entitled “Beauty and A Beast: Child Labor in India for Sparkling Cars and Cosmetics”. This phomenon soon dan familiar to called as a “Blood Mica”. The main objective of the study is to analyze the effeciveness of that regime of RMI in India 2017-2020. The study use international regime from Oran Young and Marc Levy to assess the effectiveness of the RMI from the compliance level of members, which is divided into three components of analysis: output, outcome, and impact. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research method that will use secondary data obtained through books, journals, articles, papers, and other sources. Finding of the study revealed that RMI is an effective regime, revieweing the fulfillment of the three component analysis by Young and Levy’s theory. Also proves that the level of compliance of actors in regime impact into positive achieving the goals of the regime, to promote responsible and sustainable development of mica supply chains to the community, industries, companies, and every consumer in the world, providing community empowerment program, and build education and health facilities.
