Abstract
ICOR is used in this research to determine the efficiency of economy of South Sumatera. Efficiency in this study was measured from ICOR figures, where by a lower ICOR shows an increasing efficiency. This study aims to determine the correlation between ICOR with economic growth in South Sumatera, knowing the influence of economics efficiency measured by ICOR figures on economic growth in the year 2001 to 2012. The results of correlation analysis showed that a negative relationship between ICOR with economic growth in South Sumatera (-0,86). The results of time series data analysis has shown that the ICOR and economic growth has a positive and significant relationship whereby if the ICOR increase by 1 point then the economic growth Indonesia will increase by 0,61 percent.
