Abstract

This study aims to examine how financial rewards, work environment and motivation influence the interest in choosing the profession of soccer athletes in South Sumatra Province. The data used in this study are primary data by distributing questionnaires to 27 respondents, namely professional football athletes in South Sumatra Province. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, T test and F test which were previously tested for their validity and reliability. The results obtained are the variables of financial rewards, work environment and motivation have a positive and significant effect partially and simultaneously on the interest in choosing the profession of football athletes in South Sumatra Province. This research is expected to be a reference for further researchers to add insight and knowledge in the field of human resource management, especially financial rewards, work environment and motivation for the interest in choosing the profession of football athletes. For the Indonesian Football Association (PBSI), the Provincial Government, Regional Governments can adopt a policy to develop professional football athletes.
