Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 emerged in late 2019 and was declared as a global pandemic. This pandemic has made people aware of knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards preventing COVID-19, one of which is the phenomenon of online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards prevention of COVID-19 transmission through online lectures in preclinical students of FK Unsri. Methods: A cross-sectional analytic observational research method was used in this study. Probability sampling technique with stratified random sampling method was used in this study. This research was conducted at FK Unsri in September-November 2021. This research was conducted using primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed via google form. Univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square test and correlation test were used in this study. Results: From 338 respondents, the result shows that the majority of respondents had good knowledge and good attitudes. The results of statistical tests, chi square test, obtained the value of p=0.011 (p<0.05) and PR=1.318 (PR>1), meaning that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards prevention of COVID-19 transmission through online lectures. The results of the correlation analysis, pearson test, obtained the value of p=0.013 (p<0.05) and r=0.135, meaning that there is a correlation between knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards preventing of COVID-19 transmission through online lectures. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards preventing COVID-19 transmission through online lectures in preclinical students of FK Unsri.
