Abstract

Background. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has increased death cases, became the most outrageous pandemic in 2020 that caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). One of the diagnostic test is RT-PCR test that implify the virus sample until reached the fluorosens showed in CT value. This study aims to determine the relation between CT value and mortality of COVID-19 patients at ICU of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital in 2020. Method. This study is a observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design and uses secondary data of medical record data at the Medical Record Installation of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period January-December 2020 who meets research criteria. Data analyzed with Medcalc and Chi Square. Result. Out of the 55 samples, COVID-19 patients with mortality were mostly found in the group aged 56-65 years (66,7%), male gender (66.7%), and have a job (58,8%). The result showed an insignificant relationship between CT value and mortality in Abbott with a p value of 0.593 and Biosensor with a p value of 0.192. However, the result showed an significant relationship between CT value and mortality in Sansure with a p value of 0,023. Conclusion. There is no significant relationship between CT value and mortality of COVID-19 patients at ICU of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital. Keywords. CT Value, COVID-19, Mortality
