Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi sangat penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik karena sebagai kemampuan dasar penerapan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTs). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik melalui implementasi blended learning kelas VII. Berdasarkan penelitian dan penilaian PISA menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi peserta didik masih rendah. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik adalah dengan menggunakan blended learning. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket, tes tertulis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator kemampuan numerasi yang paling sering muncul yaitu menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol yang terkait dengan matematika dasar untuk memecahkan masalah dalam berbagai macam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai macam bentuk. Sedangkan indikator kemampuan numerasi yang jarang muncul adalah menafsirkan hasil analisis untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan.
