Abstract

Background: The SARS-CoV-2 vaccination was carried out to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. Vaccination is known as one of the effective method to control infectious diseases. Many factors can affect the immune response of vaccination in body, both cellular and humoral immunity. Decreased immune function and postvaccination antibody rate can be affected by high CBG (≥200 mg/dL) and high HbA1c (≥6,5%). This study aims to determine the association between CBG and HbA1c with antibody rate of second postvaccination of SARS-CoV-2. Methods: Observational analytic and cross-sectional is used in this study. The sample used was individual who had undergone the second postvaccination of SARS-CoV-2, namely Sinovac. The research data were collected through : (1) Interview questionnaires; (2) Examined CBG rate using electrode-based biosensor method by EasyTouch® GCU; (3) Examined HbA1c rate using boronate affinity method by NycoCard™; and (4) Examined IgG antybody rate against the S1 subunit of SARS-CoV-2 RBD was carried out by taking 3 cc of venous blood and examined using CMIA method by ARCHITECT™ i1000 analyzer system (reference value ≥840 AU/mL) from Abbott. Results: Based on the result of study by chi-square statistical analysis of 65 samples, there was no significant association (p>0,05) between HbA1c (p=0,062) and CBG (p=0,667) with antibody rate of second postvaccination of SARS-CoV-2. Conclusion: There was no significant association between CBG and HbA1c with antibody rate of SARS-CoV-2 second postvaccination. Keywords: Current Blood Glucose, HbA1c, Antibody Rate, Second Postvaccination of SARS-Cov-2
