Abstract

PUBLIC PERCEPTION OF THE IMAGE OF THE POLICE (STUDY OF THE COMMUNITY OF SUKARAMI DISTRICT, PALEMBANG CITY WATCHING THE "86" NET TVEVENT PROGRAM). Tliis study eKamines the perception of the community in an area about the image of the police through television broadcasts broadcast by one of the private television stations. namely the program "86" Net TV. T1:e problem is!-oxx the public's perception of the image of the police who watch the program "86" Net TV. What are the factors that in fluence public percepuon of the image of thepolice. From this, the authorconducted a study with the aim ofknowing whetherthere was an effect of program S6 on Net TV. In this study, the authors used a qualitative meth od by asking questions in in terviews with severalpeople from the Sukaramisub-district who watched the program 8f Net TV. Tire results Showed that the absorpti on of stimuli or objects from outside the in dividual, seen from the description of theprogram 86 on NET TV, it isknown that tire program 86 on NET TV is good becau se it can build a good image of the police in the eyes of the widercommunity andprovide information on the occurrence of crime incitiesandtowns. big cities in Indonesia by providing positive impressions for the community. Where the public's view of the police is im aged in carrying out their duties they work very reliably. professionally and contribute. Keywords: Persepi, Citra, 86 Net TV Program.
