Abstract

Kata Kunci: COVID-19, Health Belief Model, protokol kesehatan, persepsi Background: The COVID-19 outbreak that attacks the whole world has been designated a pandemic by WHO on March 11, 2020. This health protocol was made as rules and conditions that need to be followed by all parties in order to carry out activities safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the relationship between perceptions and behaviors of health protocols in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the city of Palembang. Methods: This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional research design. Sampling used a multistage technique with a multistage sampling technique with 155 people in the city of Palembang. Results: People in Palembang who comply with health protocols are 138 (89%), more than those who do not comply, which is 17 (11%). Based on univariate analysis, 94.8% of the public have a perception of being vulnerable to COVID-19, 94.8% of the community have a severe perception of COVID-19, 94.2% of the community has a perception of the benefits of implementing health protocols, 96.1% the public has a perception of obstacles in implementing health protocols, and 85.2% of the public think that there is information and advice about COVID-19 from the external environment.
