Abstract

In the implementation of learning math in the classroom, it showing a lot of students who had difficulty in understanding geometry topics. The difficulties experienced by students are caused by the lack of a clear and accurate construction form, for that reason, this research aims to look at the level of the indicator think relational abstract by adopting Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) approach on geometry three dimensions topic. This study was conducted in Senior High School number 1 Palembang, with the subject of this research are students of class XII science 7 with 4 students with a high level of capability of being selected using a purposive sampling technique. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a research procedure consisting of three stages, namely the Preparation Stage, the Implementation Stage, and the Analysis Stage. The research was conducted online using data collection techniques in the form of student worksheets, written tests, and interviews. The data obtained after conducting the research will be analyzed using analytical techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and finally drawing conclusions. The results showed that there was an emergence of thinking skills at the abstract relational level raised by subjects with high abilities.
