Abstract

Seng (Zn) merupakan salah satu mikronutrien penting untuk tanaman padi yang tumbuh dibawah kondisi terendam karena memiliki peran yang penting dalam metabolisme tanaman. Tujuan penilitian ini untuk menghasilkan tanaman BC4F1 yang mengandung gen sub 1 serta mengevaluasi pertumbuhan tanaman dengan pemberian Zn sebelum cekaman terendam. Penelitian dilaksanakan di dua tempat yaitu Rumah Kaca ATC (Agrotech Training Center) dan Bak Rendaman Jurusan Budidaya Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan dan dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2020 sampai Juli 2021. Persilangan balik dilakukan secara konvensional sedangkan uji rendaman menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 ulangan dan 4 perlakuan pemupukan Zn yaitu P1 (Kontrol), P2 (5 mg ZnSO4.7H2O/ember), P3 (10 mg ZnSO4.7H2O/ember) dan P4 (15 mg ZnSO4.7H2O/ember). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase hasil persilangan varietas pelita rampak lebih tinggi dibandingkan varietas siam. Berdasarkan uji anova menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pemupukan Zn berpengaruh nyata terhadap peubah tinggi tanaman, kadar kehijauan tanaman umur 21 dan 38 hari setelah semai serta peningkatan laju tumbuh relatif (LTR) tanaman tetapi tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kadar kehijauan umur 28 hari setelah semai dan berat kering tanaman. Perlakuan P4 (15 mg ZnSO4.7H2O/ember) merupakan perlakuan terbaik yang berpengaruh terhadap peubah yang diamati.
