Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of teacher communication on participants' learning outcomes in the economics subjects of Class X IPS at Srijaya State High School Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto type of research. The population of this study, namely all X IPS classes at Srijaya State High School Palembang, was 124 participants. The data collection technique used by angket with a lycert scale model. Sampling using non probabilistic tek ik sampling was class X IPS 1 which was 27 participants. Teacher communication X variable data using angket and study result Y variables using Midterm Exam study result data with material needs, scarcity and economic systems. The results of this study show that teacher communication data are categorized well with a presentation of 71% and learning outcomes are categorized well with a presentation of 81% . Hypothesis using parametric statistics namely t-test was obtained that t-count = 21.662 t-table = 1,708 then Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected which means that there was an effect on teacher communication on participants' learning outcomes in the economics subjects of Grade X IPS at Palembang State Srijaya High School. It is recommended to participants to be more active in communicating with teachers while the learning process is underway to get good learning outcomes.
