Abstract

The purpose of this research were to:(1) analyze and calculate the cost of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya in the last five years (2016-2020). (2) Seeing the trend of production and price trends of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya in the last five years (2016-2020). (3) Analyzing the benefits of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya in the last five years (2016-2020). This research was conducted at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. Determination of the location is done intentionally (purposive). The data collection is carried out in August 2021. The data collection method in this thesis research is divided into 2, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained by researchers directly. Primary data can be obtained from interviews and field observations. Secondary data is data obtained by researchers from existing sources. Secondary data can be obtained from the company PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya. The data required includes data on the price of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) for the last five years, data on CPO production for the last five years, facilities and infrastructure as well as supporting institutions related to this research including the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) etc. The two data are used as research sources and then processed to achieve the objectives of this study. The results showed that (1) the cost of CPO at PT.Sutopo Lestari Jaya in 2016-2020 decreased. The highest cost of CPO was obtained in 2016, which was Rp5.186/Kg and the lowest was obtained in 2020, which was Rp3,825/Kg. (2) Analysis of price trends and trends in CPO production in 2020 using 3rd order polynomial regression (polynomial power 3) with an average R-Square price trend above 70% and a production trend above 85%, the time coefficient (X) is obtained from the results CPO price trend at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya tends to fluctuate. (3) The highest trend of CPO profits in 2016 was Rp86,116,934,473 and the lowest CPO profit trend in 2020 was Rp79,202,979,151. The trend of CPO profits has decreased due to the low selling price of CPO, the cost of CPO and the cost of the head office every year. The trend of CPO profits at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya experienced a negative trend or a downward trend. If there is a negative trend, it can be said that world CPO prices are declining.
