Abstract

This research target is to leam condition of system ground management and irrigate in both of research location that is Karang Agung Ilir ( P9) and Delta Telang I ( P8-11S) and assess performance of water management and also give suggestion and input to improve management irrigate for increasing paddy production in both of research location.This research executed in Primer 9 Karang Agung Ilir And Primer 8-11 South Arch of DeltaTelang I Banyuasin District on May 2008 until January 2009.Research executed to use method of survai field, where conducted by activity that is data collecting of farm condition, network arrange water, analyse land for determination soil physical that is soil tekstur, soil colour, conductivity of hidraulik land and also the direct interview with farmer.Drainage system design of Karang Agung Ilir is Single comb which consisted of the channel Navigasi, Primary channel, channel sekunder and tertiary. Telang I network system is doorstep consisted of primary channel, SPD, Tertiary and SDU. The Condition channel in telang I is good enough that is still clean and depth. So water coming from primary channel can emit a stream untill tertiary channel. This condition differ from Karang Agung Ilir, current do not as good as Telang I. Thiscondition also be influenced by inexistence of Perkumpulan Petani Pengelola Airwhich hold responsible in arranging water and also take care of channel.The channel condition influence agriculture result, This research indicate thatpaddy production in Telang I gyrate 6-8 ton/ha with 2 times the season plant andKarang Agung Ilir can yield 4 - 5,5 ton/ha with 1 times the season plant.
