Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Uji Toksisitas Limbah cair Kelapa Sawit Pada Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus L) Sebagai Hewan Uji Pencemaran, telah dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2008 sampai dengan Februari 2009, bertempat di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan nilai LC50 limbah cair pengolahan kelapa sawit dan efek toksik yang terjadi terhadap perubahan morfologis insang ikan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dengan 4 kali ulangan yaitu 0 ppm sebagai kontrol, 3953,7 ppm, 4538,8 ppm, 5210,5 ppm, 5981,6 ppm, 6866,8 ppm dengan mengunakan ikan nila yang berumur 1 bulan dan 2 bulan. Analisa data yang dilakukan menggunakan uji Regresi Linier untuk menghitung harga LC50, diuji dengan menggunakan ANAVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ (Beda Nyata Jujur). Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan Nilai LC50 pada ikan nila yang berumur 1 bulan adalah 4920,39 ppm dan pada ikan nila yang berumur 2 bulan adalah 4392,39 ppm. Ikan nila yang berumur satu bulan lebih toleransi dibandingkan dengan umur ikan nila yang berumur dua bulan. Pemberian limbah kelapa sawit terhadap ikan nila menyebabkan perubahan morfologi dengan gejala perubahan warna insang merah pucat, mata memutih dan keluar. warna Kata Kunci: Toksisitas, LC50, limbah kelapa sawit
