Abstract

The goal of the research was to investigate the amouat abd species of fruit flies captured by green basil oil extract at guava fruits and effectivity period of extract. This research was conducted at guava field in five locations in Talang Jambi Village Palembang, from April 2007 until June 2007. This Research method used was Completely Randomized Block Design with the treatments and five replications. The parameters were amount and species of fruitflies trapped effective period of green basil oil. Results of research were that the best dose for trapping was 1.25 ml and a period effective was 40.8 day. The species of fruit flies trapped were B. dorsalis, with the amount of 10252, and B. umbrosus were 7.
