Abstract

Groundwater availability of evaluation research has been carried out in Pematang Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) and surrounding areas, which are included in the Lematang watershed in South Sumatra Province. In determining the impact of climate change on groundwater utilization at the research site, the method used is by using climate risk analysis, hazard analysis, vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, and adaptation and evaluation efforts. This activity was conducted to study the impact of climate change at the research site on groundwater availability and groundwater utilization. The impact of climate change has caused the risk of decreasing the availability of clean water to increase from year to year. The modeling results using several climate scenarios such as RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 will reduce significant rainfall in the future. The magnitude of this risk is also shown by the increase in vulnerabilities, such as the increased demand for water, water sources, and community welfare. One of the efforts to provide hygiene water is through groundwater drilling in locations where water is scarce. This research shows that the provision of clean water followed by clean water management through community participation reduces the risk of decreasing the availability of hygiene water.
