Abstract

Penelitian mengenai “Estimasi Kandungan Karbon Tegakan pada Ekosistem Rawa di Desa Sungai Rambutan Kecamatan Inderalaya Utara Kabupaten Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan” telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2010. Analisis data di Laboratorium Ekologi, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas MIPA, Universitas Sriwijaya, Inderalaya. Penentuan plot menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah plot yang digunakan sebanyak 3 plot. Penelitian ini menggunakan persamaan alometrik untuk menghitung biomassa tegakan dan 46% dari biomassa merupakan nilai kandungan karbon. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu tegakan dengan dbh 5 - 10 cm yang paling mendominasi, biomassa per luasannya sebesar 7,92 ton/ha dan nilai kandungan karbon per luasannya adalah 3, 64 ton/ha. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah individu mempengaruhi nilai dari biomassa dan nilai kandungan karbon.
