Abstract

Fisheries resources is also quite resource are to be restored, but limited by the limiting factors of natural and non-natural limiting factors. Natural limiting factors are the factors inhibiting the availability of fish from the ecosystem itself, such as the availability of food, predators, competition for space and so on. Non-natural factors are the factors inhibiting the availability of fish caused by exploitation and pollution. The study aims to analyze the composition of species of fish, structure of fish community and composition of the size of the fish in the waters of the Musi estuarine and Banyuasin estuarine, Banyuasin Distric, province of South Sumatra. This research was held in July 2015 in Musi estuarine and Banyuasin estuarine. The method used survey method by measuring the length and weight of fish caught by fishermen that use fishing gear gill nets, trammel net and tuguk. The results of this study in the Musi estuarine found 9 species of fishes and 14 species of fishes in the Banyuasin estuarine. Structure of cummunity in the Musi estuarine has a low dominance index, diversity index and index uniformity being a community in a stable condition, while in the Banyuasin estuarine have a low dominance, diversity index and index uniformity being a community in a stable condition. The composition by weight and length of the fish Pseudocienna amoyensare weight in range of 27-50 gram and length in range of 17-18 cm, species of fishPsettodes erumei are weight in range of 69-80 gram and length in range of 28-29 cm, while for species of fish Formio nigerare weight in range of 35-163 gram and length in range 13-16 cm. Water quality parameters for temperature, DO, pH and salinity in the Musi estuarine waters and the Banyuasin estuarinewaters in good condition for living organism.
