Abstract

Penelitian tentang “Studi Komunitas Makrozoobenthos Di Aliran Sungai Senangkalan Kecamatan Banding Agung Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Selatan” telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Oktober 2010. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunitas meliputi komposisi, kelimpahan, kenekaragaman jenis, dominansi dan kesamaan jenis makrozoobentos pada tipe mikrohabitat yang berbeda. Penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Purposive Sampling untuk menentukan titik pengambilan sampel. Tiap stasiun sampel makrozoobenthos diambil pada tipe substrat yaitu: substrat berbatu, berkerikil, berpasir dan berserasah. Identifikasi sampel makrozoobenthos dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan taksonomi hewan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya, Inderalay. Dari Hasil penelitian didapatkan 11 ordo yaitu Mesogastropoda, Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera, Plecoptera, Phyllodocida, Diptera, Eulamellibranchiata, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Odonata, dan Tricladida, yang tergabung kedalam 13 familia dan 18 jenis. Kelimpahan individu makrozoobenthos di Sungai Senangkalan berkisar antara 775 ind/m2 hingga 1150 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos berkisar antara 1,78 sampai 2,31. Indeks dominansi berkisar 0,13 hingga 0,24. Indeks kesamaan berkisar 63,63 % sampai 74,07%.
