Abstract

Telah riilal-nl-an penelitian lemang “Srudl Komunitas Makrozoobenthos pada Kolam Retensi di Kota Palembang Sumalera Selatan^ bulan Juni-Okiober 2009. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunitas makrozoobenthos yang meliputi kepadatan, keanekarapaman kesamaan, dan dominansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Purposrve Random Sampling dengan 5 titik stasiun pada setiap kolam retensi. Identifikasi dilakukan Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Taksonomi Hewan. Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 7 genera pada kolam retensi Ogan Permata Indah (OPI) dan 6 genera pada kolam retensi Simpang Polda yang masing-masing dikelompokan kedalam 3 kelas yaitu; Gastropoda, Insekta dan Oligochaeta. Kepadatan tertinggi ditemukan di kolam retensi Simpang Polda yaitu sebanyak 9239 ind/m3. Indeks keanekaragaman kolam retensi OPI berkisar 0-1,386 dan kolam retensi Simpang Polda berkisar 0-0,99 yang tergolong rendah. Indeks kesamaan kolam retensi OPI relatif berbeda sedangkan kolam retensi Simpang Polda relatif sama. Dari kedua kolam retensi tersebut mendominasi adalah Limnodrillus sp. yang Kata kunci: Komunitas, Kolam retensi, Makrozoobenthos
