Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan proses pengolahan data seismik menggunakan software ProMAX, dimulai dari input raw data sampai tahap akhir berupa migrasi. Tipe migrasi yang dipilih adalah tipe Pre-Stack Time Migrtion (PSTM) dan Pre-Stack Depth Migration (PSDM) dengan metode kirchhoff. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder hasil survei seismik di Cekungan Nias Sumatera Utara, yang diperoleh dari Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Geologi Kelautan (PPPGL) Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memberikan gambaran struktur geologi bawah permukaan cekungan Nias dengan menerapkan metode migrasi kirchhoff. Data yang digunakan untuk proses migrasi PSTM adalah CDP gather hasil preprocessing dan model kecepatan RMS dari hasil analisa kecepatan, sedangkan data input dari migrasi kirchhoff PSDM adalah time migration gather hasil PSTM dan model kecepatan interval hasil transformasi Dix. Dari hasil proses pengolahan data seismik terlihat migrasi kirchhoff PSDM lebih mampu menekan efek difraksi dan reflektor miring dengan kontinuitas dan resolusi vertikal yang lebih baik sehingga gambaran penampang seismik yang dihasilkan lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan migrasi PSTM. Hasil dari migrasi PSTM penampang seismik pada time 3000-4500 ms masih menunjukkan adanya reflektor semu akibat dari efek difraksi yang belum mampu dihilangkan. Setelah proses migrasi PSDM terlihat bahwa struktur cekungan Nias merupakan struktur stratigrafi dalam bentuk sembulan batugamping (build-up).
