Abstract

The research vvas conducted in Bacteriology Laboratory and Green House, Department of Plant Pests and Disease, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Indralaya, from July until September 2008. The objective of this research was to get bactery of rizobacteria and investigate the role of rizobacteria as antagonist incontrolling downy mildew disease on Chinese cabbage. The effectiveness of bacterial isolates induced resistance to P. parasitica on caisin was a arranged in a completely randomized designe with 10 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were Pf 1 isolate, Pf 2 isolate, Pf 3 isolate, Pf 4 isolate, Pf 5 isolate, Bspp 1 isolate, Bspp 2 isolate, Bspp 3 isolate, Bspp 4 isolate, Bspp 5 isolate.. The result showed that Pseudomonas flourescens bacteria was rounded colony, white coloured, smell and indicated green yellowing (florescensts pigment) if grown in King’s B media and exposured by UV light. This bacteria was negatif gram bacteria, it is showed by mocous (positif reaction) on gram reaction with KOH 3%. Bacillus spp bacteria was rounded colony, white coloured, more smell than P. flourescens and florescensts pigment if expoused by UV light. Neither in gram reaction of Bacillus spp with KOH 3% showed that the bacteria was positif gram bacteria Bacillus spp adaptable bacteria in environmen, this is determined by existence of spore-formed on spore pesforming test. Non was From len isolates thai application for induced resislance dovvny mildew disiase of Chinese cabbage caused by Peronospora parasitica and promoted the growing of Chinese cabbage, Bspp 1 isolate (Bacillus spp from Chinese cabbage rhyzosphere at Palembang) was potential to suppressed dovvny mildew disease and growth promoting of Chinese cabbage.
