Abstract

The secondary metabolites compound heve been isolated from endophytic fungi {Aspergillus niger) from stem bark of kandis gajah {Garcinia griffithii T. anders). Isolation begin with cultivation of Aspergillus niger fungi in 5 L of PDB’s media {Potato Dextrose Broth ) for eight weeks. Media i s extracted into the solvent ethyl acetate following by evaporation. Ethyl acetate extracts were separated by chromatography techniques to get pure compound in form of white crystal counted 71 mg. The H-NMR spectrum showed four proton aromatic that it signal showed at 8H 7.22; 7.27; 7.27; 7.20 proton sp2 was 8H 6.00 and5.56 and one proton sp3 methyne was SH 4,90 ppm. The 13C-NMR spectrum showed isolated compound have 18 carbons. Base on to analysis result using H-NMR, i3C-NMR, HMQC, HMBC, and COSY the resulting isolation compound spevtroscopy as 8,10,12 -trihydroxy- 9- methoxy -7a-methyl -7,7a,12a,13-tetrahydrobenzo cycloheptaoxocin-6-on with molecule formula CigH2o06- The isolation compound showed activity as antioxidant and has 1C50 value 97.24.
