Abstract

Sogatella furcifera is one of pest that could be problems in rice field. The altemative way to controll it by using fungal entomophatogenes. The fungal entomophatogenes that can be used were Beauveria bassiana (BALS.) VUILL. and Metarhizium sp. The objectives of this research were to examined efficacy of formulation B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp. to control S. furcifera nymph.This research was conducted in Enfomology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University ffom Januari to March 2008. This research was design by Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 9 treatment of bioinsecticide with 3 times application on bioinsecticide. The treatment were used four substrats on two isolates (B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp.) they were rice, com, SDB (+EKKU 20% + Sugar), yeast (+EKKU 20% + Sugar), The concentration of spore whice used was 107 conidia/ml. While the control treatment were used aquadest.The result showed that B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp. caused mortality of nymph S. furcifera. The highest mortality 96.67%. The lowest nymph mortality 53.33% . Each bioinsecticide formulation has different LT50 value. The fastest LT50 0.67 hari achieved ffom B. bassiana + SDB + EKKU 20% + sugar and the longest LT50 4.55 days achieved from B. bassiana + rice.
