Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai laju pertumbuhan populasi Diaphanosoma sp. dengan pemberian Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp. dan Dunaliella sp. dalam kondisi laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui laju pertumbuhan populasi Diaphanosoma sp. dengan pemberian Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp. dan Dunaliella sp. di laboratorium. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus hingga Oktober 2007 bertempat di Laboratorium Zooplankton Balai Besar Pengembangan Budidaya Laut Lampung. Parameter pengamatan meliputi laju pertumbuhan Diaphanosoma sp. dalam media 1,5 liter air laut serta kualitas fisika kimia media meliputi temperatur, oksigen terlarut, salinitas, pH, amonia dan nitrit. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 Ulangan. Data dianalisa dengan Analisis Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) dan diuji lanjut dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Tetraselmis sp. selama perlakuan menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan yang tertinggi (69,69 individu/hari) dibandingkan dengan pemberian Nannochloropsis sp. (52,50 individu/hari) dan Dunaliella sp. (29,17 individu/hari). Kata kunci : Laju Pertumbuhan, Diaphanosoma sp., Nannochloropsis sp., Tetraselmis sp., Dunaliella sp.
