Abstract

PT Golden Great Borneo is a company that has a concession in coal mining located in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. In 2021, the coal production target at PT Golden Great Borneo is 2,170,000 tons with a stripping ratio limit of 2.5 and plans to increase the production target by 2,500,000 tons of coal with a stripping ratio limit of 3. it is necessary to plan a new mining sequence design to be able to meet the coal production target. This study aims to redesign the mining sequence which consists of a pit design which is divided into 4 (four) quarters and disposal for 1 (one) year as well as an analysis of the need for loading and unloading equipment that can support the achievement of coal production in 2022. Planning this mining sequence designed with the help of Minescape 5.7 software, including in the making of pit and disposal designs. After obtaining the appropriate sequence design, the next step is to analyze the needs for loading and unloading equipment. Production scheduling is done manually with the selection of mining blocks carried out by trial and error method and evaluated so that coal production is obtained with a stripping ratio value that has been determined by the company, namely the SR 3 limit. The direction of the mining sequence starts from the low wall section to the high wall and has an opening area of 28.10 Ha. Sequence disposal design is planned in pit dump with valley fill dump method in an area of 47.06 Ha in void area 2, 3, and 4 which can accommodate overburden of 8.452.696 lcm.
