Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan precipitated silica berkapasitas produksi 30.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan akan berdiri tahun 2027 di Tenger, Desa Roomo, Kecamatan Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik, Jawa Timur. Luas area pabrik diperkirakan sebesar 5,7 Ha. Proses pembuatan precipitated silica ini mengacu pada US Patent No. 9938154 B2 dengan menggunakan bahan baku berupa sodium silikat, asam sulfat, dan sodium aluminat. Sodium silikat akan bereaksi dengan asam sulfat di dalam continuous stirred tank reactor pada temperatur 92oC menghasilkan precipitated silica. Pada tahap pemurnian produk, precipitated silica akan mengalami proses liquifaksi atau pelunakan dengan menambahkan larutan sodium aluminat guna meningkatkan kualitas produk. Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan yang berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff, yang dipimpin oleh seorang direktur utama dengan jumlah karyawan 198 orang. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisa ekonomi, maka pabrik pembuatan precipitated silica ini dinyatakan layak didirikan karena telah memenuhi berbagai macam persyaratan parameter ekonomi.
