Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya sekolah dalam meningkatkan karakter religius melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Rohis di UPT SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling dengan informan yang berjumlah 4 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, wawancara dan observasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa dalam upaya sekolah dalam meningkatkan karakter religius dilakukan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang ada di sekolah yakni ekstrakurikuler Rohis dengan serangkaian metode-metode digunakan dalam kegiatan yang dimulai dari metode keteladanan, metode pembiasaan, metode nasihat, metode perhatian serta metode hukuman. Hasil penelitian beserta pembahasan diketahui bahwa dalam upaya yang sudah sekolah lakukan dalam peningkatan karakter religius peserta didik melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler religius,sehingga peserta didik memiliki sifat yang baik yang tercermin pada rasullah saw seperti shiddiq, amanah ditunjukkan dengan, tabligh, dan fathannah.
