Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify postharvest paddy loss in irrigated rice field. This research used survey method by direct observation in the field and data Processing used descriptive method. It was conducted in irrigated ricefield which cultivated mekongga variety. The results showed that the loss during harvesting was 4.74 %, transportation was 0.93 %, piling was 0.89 %, threshing was 6.87 %, drying was 0.57 %, storage was 0.36 %, and milling was 2.15 %. The postharvest total loss was 16.51 %.
